What is a Certified Athletic Trainer?

An athletic trainer certified with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) provides a link between an athletic program and the medical community for implementing injury prevention measures, emergency care, and injury management.

At Children’s, all of our athletic trainers are NATA certified and licensed in the state of Georgia. We provide medical coverage for many local, national, and regional events, and for many schools and sports clubs affiliates. Our team works with individual athletic programs at schools and in the community.
